TG : after getting job to next 5 years. Experience below 5 years.

A job is always dream for us. But after getting job it’s important to grow for future.

Remember one very important line. “ You got a job means now are on the track of race” Previously you were only in race without a track.
We usually celebrate the job and go hibernation which actually ruins our career.
Let’s see some Thumb rule never to compromise.

- Rule no 1 :
Don’t enjoy the job. But enjoy the work. You should start learning from the very first day of work. Remember you have to learn life long but in first five years you will learn to learn the next.
- Rule no 2 :
Never stop learning.
You have to learn so many things including norms , Policy , process etc.
All are very important. Remember even you are in HR you have to know sales number, marketing policy etc. Then only you can be Head of HR one day.
Never complaint that I was a first boy but how he got promoted.
- Rule no 3 :
Update yourself.
I want to repeat the old quote “ Today how good you are does not matter. Your knowledge and skill going to outdated very soon”
It’s fast changing industry. Everything is changing very fast. You have to update yourself accordingly.
- Rule no 4.
Networking. Now you have access to many places due to your company identity. Utilise like anything. Create a network. Make sure all are professional relation.
Remember by doing this you are expanding your market. You will be tired to say no to many lucrative job - trust me.
- Rule no 5
Be professional. Never try to be personal with anyone in profession. Never at all. It will kill your career.
Be humble with everyone. Being kind to others also directed by GOD.
- Rule no 6
Adapt with technology.
Now in fast changing environment you have to be aware of upcoming technology and you must need to adapt with change. There is no alternative at all.
- Rule no 7
Integrity and transparency.
Never compromise with integrity and be transparent with company.
Always update your supervisor regarding the current status even it’s unfavourable. By doing this he can understand you are working.

Some basic suggestion.
- Read book everyday. At least 10-30 pages.
- Get professional training when and where required.
- Make further study like EMBA or prepare for this.
- Always see the global changes and global issues regarding your industry.
- Learn a new language. It may be Chinese.
- Don’t ask anyone for job. Rather build relation so that people might feel to knock you.
- Change the job when its need or according to career plan. Never look salary or position only to change a job.
- Always keep CV updated.
- LinkedIn is must for you. Check that your profile is complete and it looks very competitive.

The bottom line “ your first 5 year is your basement of career.”

“ You can make it or break it.....”
